A look inside...
I have worked for the company for two and a half years. A wonderful company to work for yet as any other job it has it's up and downs. I work directly in a branch as a teller, the head teller. Life inside commercial banking is rough and has long days with many things to be done. It is not just deposits and withdrawals. Being inside you get a different persepctive on the organization and on banking as a whole. The organization as a whole is wonderful with many different perspective jobs outside commercial banking. Citigroup is a large corporation with places for advancement for anyone.

How the stock market effected Citigroup
"The financial services announced this morning that it will be acquiring all remaining shares of Japanese firm Nikko Cordial, though the deal remains subject to approval. In April, Citi took a majority stake in Nikko, funding the transaction with cash. Today Citi announced it will acquire Nikko's remaining shares by exchanging an estimated $4.6 billion worth of its own stock. The transaction reflects a premium of approximately 16% from Nikko's current share value and is expected to occur in January 2008."
